Lindsay Drozdik, Voice and Guitar
Lindsay Drozdik is a Mezzo-Soprano specializing in rock, pop, and musical theatre singing. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she has spent her entire life as a musician and actor. Starting with guitar and violin, Lindsay’s love of music grew into singing and percussion. She’s performed in countless rock bands, musicals, choirs, and orchestras, but rock has always held a special place in her heart. Lindsay holds a B.A. in Theatre and Creative Writing from Knox College, where she was a Soprano section leader for the Knox College Choir and Chamber Singers. She has performed in local Madison-area theatre productions, including Cabaret and LIZZIE: The Musical, and she is the drummer for Madison-based band Violence Against Pottery.
As a teacher, Lindsay is focused on curating an environment where students feel comfortable exploring their body as an instrument and vessel for emotional expression while simultaneously grasping the fundamentals of rhythm, pitch, dynamics, and sound placement to create a compelling and fully present performer. As for days/times-- I'd honestly like to teach as much as possible! I was thinking of starting off with maybe Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-6 and Saturdays from 12-4, or something like that? I suppose it also depends on how many students you'd like to start me off with. I'm not sure how packed your schedules typically are.
