Maven Vocal Arts is filled with diverse students: BROADWAY, FOLK, CLASSICAL, POP. The cornerstone of maven's teaching is to not make you sound like her or someone else, but to make you sound like you at your best. Focus is on breathing, body awareness, characterization, and helping you to sing with your healthliest and most optimal voice in a very positive supportive environment.

Dr. Melanie Cain
Melanie believes music is the one thing that touches us all universally. It brings peace to the soul and awakens creativity and passion in all aspects of our lives. Students of music are instilled with the confidence and wisdom essential for all they wish to do in life.

Dr. Melanie Cain (Owner) holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and a Masters of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her BA in both Music and Art from Luther College in Decorah, IA. Dr. Cain has experience in teaching private voice lessons, piano lessons, and has taught many vocal master classes. Cain has completed Estill Voice Training (Levels 1 and 2) and is successful in teaching all types of voices including classical, musical theater, and contemporary genres. Her students have repeatedly received top awards at state competitions, and have performed in numerous musicals, operas, bands, honor choirs, and many have enjoyed successful careers in music.
Melanie is the President Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Teachers of Singing , former Co-Director of The Metropolitan National Council Auditions Wisconsin District, and Founder and Artistic Director of Fresco Opera Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin. |
Eloise williamson

Eloise Berkley is a Wisconsin based soprano. Eloise has experience singing Opera, art song, musical theatre as well as rock/popular, country, and folk music. Recent performance credits include Berginella (Songbird), La Badessa (Suor Angelica) Senora Naccareli (The Light in the Piazza), Diana (La Calisto), and Lady Billows (Albert Herring). She obtained a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she emphasized in voice performance. Eloise obtained a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently working towards a Doctor of Music degree also at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Eloise is passionate about curating a goal orientated curriculum with her students and uses science-based pedagogy to advance her students and build their confidence in singing. When she isn't singing or teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and drinking coffee in all forms. |
lauren rowe
Lauren Rowe is very excited to be a part ofMaven Vocal Arts. Lauren graduated from Edgewood College in 2012 with a BA in music and a minor in Theatre Arts. During her time at Edgewood,she wasthe soprano section leader and the winner of the 2011 concerto competition. More recently, Lauren has been performing in local theatrical productionsin both opera and music theater. Favorite creditsinclude Gianetta in The Gondoliers, Baroness Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the well receivedMiss Trunchbull inMatilda. When she isn't singing, Lauren enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her dog. |
Alexxis Mcdade

McDade is a mezzosoprano from Omaha, Nebraska. She holds a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She enjoys singing both classical and musical theatre repertoire, as well as exploring other genres.In her free time, she loves to spend time outside, read, and bake.
